AR 15 Parts Build

After I built my first AR15 from a Palmetto State Armory kit with an Anderson lower I thought I would try to build one from ON SALE parts from various vendors. So, I began to collect upper & lower parts that I found on sale.

Tools

You can do the build with general hand tools. But, it can be difficult to do some operations. I bought a set of Gun gun-smithing tools & it makes the installation process much easier. Check out the Tools Section.

Upper Parts

  • Upper Receiver - I assembled the dust cover & forward assit.
  • Barrel - My choice fluted 16".
  • Carbine length gas tube and low profile gas block.
  • Carbon Fiber Hand Guard with barrel nut & front trim ring.
  • Bolt Carrier Group.
  • Faux Suppressor in place A2 Style muzzle brake.

Upper Assembly

  • Install the barrel to the upper.
  • Install the gas tube in the low-profile gas block & then install on the barrel.
  • Install the CF hand guard & Muzzle Brake(Faux Suppressor).
  • Paint the upper to match the lower.
  • Build the lower with the parts kit.
  • Put it all together, add some sights and/or optics and you're ready to rock & roll.
