AR 15 Trigger Mod

Don't like your Mil-Spec trigger on your AR15. I tested mine and it was 6 to 7 lbs. So, I thought I would try my hand at a trigger job.

  • Striker Trigger jig
Not necessary but nice as you can see the inner workings of the trigger group

The jig makes it easy to swap parts in and out and to see how everything lines up. It has a nice hammer block that allows you to test the trigger pull. Once you get everything the way you want it, just swap the parts into your lower and take it for a test drive. Mine trigger pull went from almost 7 lbs to a touch over 4.

  • JP Enterprises Reduced trigger springs - 3.5 to 4.5 lb kit
  • JoeBob's Grip Screw Trigger Adjuster
  • A bob'd Hammer.

I got my bob'd hammer from Modern Paladin Gun Works. But, you can DIY the hammer with a band saw or even Dremel.

  • Extra Grip for the trigger jig.
Again not necessary but makes for easier handling.
  • Safety Selector.
    Again not necessary
  • Trigger group... Just in case you screw up.
  • DIY Trigger pull scale

If you decide not to mess with different trigger springs and bob'd hammers you can opt for a drop-in trigger. But, again you may want to test it before the actual install. The cost for a drop-in trigger can run from $99 on sale to about $179 retail.
